KCSIE Safeguarding Mop Up Online 4 June 2025

This is a safeguarding awareness training session for staff who may have missed whole school training or who are new to post.

The course covers:

The role and responsibility of the whole workforce in keeping children safe in education.

Legislation, policies and procedures in school that keep children safe and to contribute effectively to them.

Basic signs of abuse and harm and types of abuse.

Thresholds of intervention, be able to recognise and ensure that the right help is provided at the right time for children.

Listening to and responding to a disclosure.

Our usual cancellation policy will include a charge for the associated documents should you cancel your place with less than one weeks notice.  Once we have released the documentation we are unable to cancel without a cancellation charge.

Please note that this is a live online Zoom session, you will need to be available for the whole session and will need to have a working webcam to take part.

This would be classed as level 1 training

KCSIE – All staff should receive appropriate safeguarding and child protection training at induction. The training should be regularly updated. 

This course is certified by the CPD Certification Service.
