Designated Safeguarding Lead Induction Training (Day 1) 8 May 2025

This is a training session for any new Designated Safeguarding Lead. This training will take you through your role and responsibilities as a DSL, understanding the legislation and threshold guidance of local safeguarding partnership arrangements, actively applying the theory and legislation to case studies and provide you with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role.

This is Day 1 of our DSL Induction Programme and would be classed as Level 2.

KCSIE – The designated safeguarding lead (and any deputies) should undergo training to provide them with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role. 

By attending this training you are also eligible to attend our termly “New DSL Network Meetings” which are 1.5 hrs on zoom where we discuss a specific element of the DSL role.

This course is certified by the CPD Certification Service.
