Effective Practitioner in Child Protection Induction (Day 2) 5 December 2024
This is a training session for any new Designated Safeguarding Lead. This covers the core functions of the Designated Safeguarding Leads in multi agency child protection conferences and the subsequent process of core group meetings in between the formal process. The session will look at processes and systems inclusive of existing models and focus on being an effective practitioner in keeping safe those children who are the subject of a statutory multi-agency plan.
The emphasis is on reflective practice for Designated Safeguarding Leads and how they in their role can champion the voices of children and their outcomes.
This is Day 2 of our DSL Induction Programme and would be classed as Level 3.
KCSIE – The designated safeguarding lead (and any deputies) should undergo training to provide them with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role.
By attending this training you are also eligible to attend our termly “New DSL Network Meetings” which are 1.5 hrs on zoom where we discuss a specific element of the DSL role.
This course is certified by the CPD Certification Service.
